A factual television brand can become a live music proposition when its score and images are shaped for an arena audience. Blue Planet III’s planned concert tour makes that extension concrete.

The AO Arena’s official event information describes a May 2027 tour presented by FKP Scorpio Entertainment UK under licence from BBC Studios. The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra is to perform the score alongside curated footage, with executive producer Elizabeth White hosting. This is the announced live production, rather than evidence of attendance or financial results from a tour that has not yet occurred.

Build a live proposition from the source material

A screen-to-stage project needs to explain what the audience will experience in the room. The presence of a familiar programme title is useful, but it does not replace the work of shaping a coherent live event.

A hypothetical rights owner can begin by identifying which elements of the original work support the new experience and which additional creative work is required. The proposed show should be reviewable as its own product.

Define the production relationships

The concert combines a brand licence, curated screen material and live performance. The operating plan should identify who supplies and approves each component and how changes move between the teams.

A rehearsal and delivery schedule should make those interfaces visible. The person responsible for one element needs a clear route to resolve a question affecting another.

Keep the touring case distinct from the television case

A successful screen programme supplies context for the brand. The concert still needs its own audience, venue and operating evidence, and its results should be assessed on that basis.

The Blue Planet III extension is useful as a current example of music and factual intellectual property working together. For entertainment businesses, the opportunity lies in defining a live experience that uses the source material deliberately and can be delivered through a clear partnership structure.
