A combined distribution operation changes the map that producers and buyers use to find the right commercial team. Banijay Entertainment’s October announcement makes that operating structure visible alongside a larger catalogue.

On 1 October 2026, Banijay introduced the combined Banijay Rights business following its merger with All3Media International. The company describes more than 265,000 catalogue hours and over 1,200 clients. It also identifies separate territorial sales responsibilities and a digital monetisation role. These are the company’s reported scale and structure, not evidence of unrestricted rights availability for every title.

Refresh the contact map

A producer or buyer with an existing relationship should establish who now handles its territory and type of enquiry. A familiar historical contact may remain useful, but the current operating structure should be confirmed for a live project.

A hypothetical acquisition team can update its partner record with the relevant sales contact, the project being discussed and the next action. That avoids creating duplicate conversations under the two former company names.

Keep catalogue scale separate from availability

A large hours total describes the operation’s breadth. A buyer still needs to identify the particular programme, market and proposed use before assessing an opportunity.

The commercial handoff should preserve those details as the enquiry moves between teams. A catalogue title can have a complex history, so a broad corporate statement should not become an internal assumption that all windows are open.

Understand the route being proposed

Finished-programme sales, format activity and digital exploitation can require different plans. The appropriate proposal should identify which route is relevant and how it connects with the producer’s intended outcome.

Banijay’s announcement is useful as a current map of a significant distribution business. For external partners, the immediate task is to translate that map into a specific, correctly directed conversation about the title and commercial opportunity at hand.
