WTDaBuzz creator advertising analysis · 17 October 2026
A recommended creator is a candidate for a business decision. A brand still needs to assess the proposed relationship, the creative assignment and the evidence available about audience fit.
In a creator partnership update revised on 30 January 2026, Meta described expanded marketplace access for businesses and an indicator predicting advertising performance for a particular brand. Such a product signal should be understood as a platform-provided prediction, not a guarantee for an individual campaign.
Ask what the recommendation is intended to support
A buying team should identify the objective of its campaign before evaluating a suggested partner. An audience or content match can be relevant, but the team must explain how that match supports the actual assignment.
The assessment can include the creator’s relevant work, the proposed format and practical production requirements. A recommendation cannot settle whether the brief, timetable and responsibilities form a workable commission.
Keep observation separate from prediction
A creator’s existing portfolio is material the team can review. A predicted campaign outcome is a different kind of information. Record the source and nature of each rather than merge them into a single unsupported confidence score.
If a team uses its own selection criteria, preserve them consistently across candidates. That makes it possible to explain why a partner was chosen and what the resulting campaign should help the business learn.
Design a bounded first commission
A pilot can test both the creative proposition and the working relationship. Define the deliverables, review stages, distribution plan and measurement approach before production begins.
The later assessment can then compare the original hypothesis with the observations available. It should not present a favourable outcome as proof that every recommendation will perform similarly.
Discovery tools can narrow the field. A clear selection record and a specific commission turn a recommendation into a decision that a brand, agency and creator can all understand.
