Creator partnerships become harder to manage when responsibility sits between label marketing, artist management and external agencies. A dedicated role can make that ownership more explicit, even though an appointment alone cannot establish campaign effectiveness.
On 1 October 2026, Warner Music Central Europe appointed Nici Ochmann Head of Culture & Creator Marketing. Based in Berlin, the role covers Germany, Switzerland and Austria, including artist and creator partnerships and cultural campaigns. Ochmann joined after a decade at Adidas. The regional scope matters: this is a GSA appointment, not an announcement that every Warner market now uses the same organisation.
Make the partnership brief usable
For an agency approaching a music company, the most useful brief begins with the audience and the creative proposition. A list of large accounts offers little explanation of why a particular creator can contribute something an artist’s existing channels cannot.
The proposal should describe the work being commissioned, the decision-maker needed and the production resources involved. It should also identify the points at which the artist, creator and commercial partner need to agree on a direction.
Separate a relationship from a media placement
A recurring creative relationship can require different planning from a single sponsored post. A hypothetical campaign might include a first collaboration, a review of audience response and an option to develop further work. Treating that sequence as one guaranteed outcome would hide the decisions still to be made.
Budgeting can reflect this uncertainty by distinguishing work already commissioned from possible later stages. Teams can then discuss expansion using actual delivery and response, rather than a broad promise of cultural relevance.
Test the organisational benefit
The practical question for a label is whether a defined function improves the quality and speed of its partnerships. Clear ownership should make it easier to route proposals, resolve conflicting feedback and explain who approves a change.
Warner’s announcement provides a specific example of a regional business assigning that responsibility. It does not disclose a creator spending target or prove an increase in streams. The business lesson is to make accountability visible before asking a partnership to deliver measurable results.
